A German porcelain armorial dinner plate from the Grand Duke Paul Petrovich Service
by the Royal Porcelain Factory, Berlin, circa 1778
Shaped circular, the centre painted and gilded with the accolled coat of arms held by an Imperial double-headed eagle, with gilt rim, marked under base
9¾ in. (24.8 cm.) diameter
The coat of arms are the Imperial arms of Russia accolled with the arms of Holstein-Gottorp.
