Published by the Ministry of the Imperial Court by the Kind Permission of His Royal Highness the Sovereign and Emperor. Binding by Otto Kirkhner of St. Petersburg. Color illustrations printed at A.A. Levinson's Printing Press, Moscow. Compiled by V.S. Krivenko, illustrated by N. Samokish-Sudkovskaya and S. Vasilkovsky. With an appendix of reproductions after originals by A. Benois, V. Vasnetsov, K. Lebedev, V. Makovsky, I. Repin, A. Ryabushkin, and V. Serov. Volume I: 428 pages, 66 pages of color illustrations, illustration inserts and vignettes in the text; title page with a watercolor after N.S. Samokish. Volume II: 336 pages, 27 pages of color illustrations, 58 pages of photographic reproductions. Binding: Green leather with plychrome and gold design after a design by N.S. Samokish; round metal medallion with an image of Emperor Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra Fedorovskaya fixed to the upper part of the binding of volume 1; the medallion on volume 2 bears an image of the Russian state coat-of-arms with the inscription "God Be with Us" around the crown.
