A Porcelain figure of a Yakut woman, Imperial Porcelain Manufactory, St. Petersburg period of Nicholas I (1825-1855) wearing a long fur-trimmed coat and hat and with colorful scarf, with a naturalistic base, incised underneath in Cyrillic, 'Yakuta,' and incised with modeler's initials, lacks manufactory mark height 8in. (20.3cm.) A similar figure was sold, Christie's London, the Provatoroff Collection, November 20, 1977, lot 227.
