A rare and important Faberge mahogany silver-mounted table, workmaster Julius Rappoport, St. Petersburg circa 1900 of oval shape, raised on four slender legs terminating in silver paw feet, the apron applied with silver swans supporting baskets of flowers, the circular stretcher wirth pierced gallery and beaded borders, the top with a border of acanthus leaves, the gallery with baluster columns, the glass liner with silver reeded handles, marked with Cyrillic initials of workmaster, Faberge in Cyrillic with Imperial warrant and 88 standard height 28 3/8in. by length 29 1/2in. (72.1cm. by 74.9cm.)
