A fine and rare Faberge silver, enamel and jeweled desk clock, workmaster Michael Perchin, St. Petersburg, circa 1900 triangular, enameled translucent pale blue over a sunray ground and applied with three moss agate cabochons bordered by diamonds, with white enamel dial bordered by seed pearls, silver strut, engraved with a presentation inscription in Cyrillic, 'Grand Duchess Helen Vladimirovna, from P.P. and S.P. Durnovo, 16th of August, 1902,' marked with Cyrillic initials of workmaster and 88 standard, also with scratched inventory No. 6424 height 5 1/8in. (13cm.) Grand Duchess Helen Vladimirovna (1882-1937) was the daughter of Grand Duke Vladimir (brother of Alexander III) and sister of Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich (cf. lot 329). This clock was a gift on the occasion of her marriage in 1902. A Faberge silver and agate photograph frame containing her wedding portrait is lot 308 in this catalogue.
