A Faberge carved nephrite, gold, enamel and diamond-set box, workmaster Henrik Wigstrom, St. Petersburg circa 1900 of square section, the hinges and clasp enameled translucent strawberry red over a guilloche ground and set with diamonds, marked with initials of workmaster, and 56 standard. With fitted case of retailer, Wartski, London. width 3 3/4in. (9.5cm.) This box can be compared to a similarly mounted carved nephrite coffer. See, M. Y.
