A pair of massive ormolu mounted porcelain vases, Imperial Porcelain Manufactory, period of Alexander II, (1855-1881) each amphora-shaped body with an elongated neck, overall profusely moulded with scrolling biscuit strawberries, wild flowers, birds and butterflies against a pale lilac ground, enclosing two finely painted reserves of varying spring bouquets against bucolic backgrounds, resting on openwork spreading ormolu scroll foot, the foliate-capped scroll handles are connected by a similar ormolu rim, the foot of one with impressed signature of m.
