The hinged cover of the shaped oval box chased with shells and scrolls on a matted ground, the center with a reserve enameled royal blue within a diamond border and applied with the diamond-set monogram of Alexander III, the cover further mounted with six diamonds, apparently unmarked, the flange punched with the number 3617.
