The cavetto depicting a mounted officer of the Horse-guards riding into battle, the border in tooled and burnished gilding with alternating Imperial Eagles and military trophies, inscribed on the reverse Non-Commissioned Officer from the Horse-Guards Regiment in Cyrillic, with green Imperial cypher for Alexander II, dated 1880
