Rectangular, the surfaces of blue taille d'épargne enamel within foliate scrolls, the lid centred with a cartouche enamelled in imitation of Chinese lacquer with a view of a riverside village, the base with gold flowers, struck with maker's mark G.E., possibly for Gustav Eckstein or Gottlieb Ehlers, 56 standard width 5.4cm, 2in.
