Period of Nicholas I (1825-55), the circular plates with gilt grounds decorated along the borders with green, blue and black scrolling foliage, each center painted with orange flowerheads superimposed upon a gilt stellar motif surrounding a Russian Imperial Eagle in multicolors on a green ground and encircled by the Cyrillic inscription, "Nicholas Czar and Suzerain of All the Russias, with underglaze blue cypher mark and palace inventory number.
