The obverse with a central roundel depicting the Nativity, the cross-piece and support with five other scenes including The Annunciation and the Baptism of Christ; the reverse with the Entombment together with the Crucifixion, the Resurrection, the Entry into Jerusalem, the Doubting of Thomas and the Anastasis, both sides covered with glass supported by gilt-metal clasps, probably Mount Athos, 18th century, mounted on a stepped gilt-metal base.
