The lid decorated with dark-blue enamel over an engraved reeded ground, the monogram EB in an oval medallion surrounded by trellis-work set with rose-diamonds, the sides and base decorated in the Louis XV style with floral festoons and fluting in basse-taille dark-blue enamel, the centre of the base with an oval medallion containing an anchor and the initial A, the interior complete with pencil, ivory memento-pad, a mirror, a miniature propelling pencil, a lipstick-tube and two lidded compartments — in original red morocco fitted case gilt with the initial EB.
