The centre painted in black with a flowering rose and coronation amidst foliage in a shallow bowl within a gold frame, the moulded scroll border terminating in pierced openwork rim after a design by S. Chekhonin, by the Imperial Porcelain Factory (period of Nicholas II) with later blue overglaze State Porcelain Factory mark dated 1922 and ref. no. 19/64.
