Moscow 1899-1908. The circular foot cast with swirling vines, the lower edge chased with a band of stylised leaves, the stem cast in the form of a sheaf of corn and rising to the bowl similarly decorated with swirling vines encompassing four applied oval plaques set with pastes and mother-ofpearl, with a champleve enamel inscription under the lip. None of the original painting remains on the mother-of-pearl plaques.
