A SILVER-GILT AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL ICON OF THE KAZANSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD, PROBABLY SEMYON GALKIN, MOSCOW, 1899-1908 the robes repoussé and chased in trompe loeil style, the halo and borders with opaque enamel in traditional shades of blue within white pellet borders, struck on the lower edge with initials SG in Cyrillic, 84 standard 31.6 by 27cm, 12¼ by 10¾in.
