Property from an Important Private Collection A silver-gilt gem-set and cloisonné enamel tankard, Pavel Ovchinnikov, Moscow, 1883 the faceted body with alternating reserves of varicoloured shaded cloisonné enamel foliage on vivid green and turquoise grounds, the lower body with gilt arches, with gilt borders with braid decorations, set with red and blue gemstones, the lid with two levels with matching ornaments and pierced upright borders, the circular finial centring a vivid blue flower, gilt interior, struck on the underside and on the inside of the lid Ovchinnikov in Cyrillic beneath the Imperial warrant, 84 standard height 21cm, 8 1/3in.
