Property from an Important Private Collection A silver-gilt and champlevé enamel tea glass holder, Alexander Sokolov, St Petersburg, 1879 cast as an openwork fence centred with a cartouche with initials OG in Cyrillic, the sides enamelled with a varicoloured Russian proverb ‘what one is rich with, one is happy with, pierced geometric base and triangular feet, 84 standard height including handle: 15cm, 5 7/8in.
