Property from a Distinguished Private Collection A Fabergé jewelled gold and guilloché enamel egg pendant, St Petersburg, 1899-1903 each side applied with a seed pearl and diamond-set silver lily-of-the-valley on translucent orange guilloché enamel ground surrounded by opaque white enamel borders and translucent red enamelled corners, seed pearl cabochon, struck on the suspension loop KF in Cyrillic, 56 standard, in an A La Vieille Russie Box height including loop 2.3cm, 1in. Provenance A La Vieille Russie, New York Catalogue Note As a symbol of springs arrival, the lily-of-the-valley was a favourite flower of the Empress Alexandra Feodorovna and can be found on pieces that she presented.
