The large rectangular box with hinged cover applied with a border of anchor chains, also applied with enameled medallions enclosed by rope-work borders, the medallions painted with a ship and various buildings as well as a portrait of the recipient, the front with a raised Cyrillic presentation inscription to Vasili Christianovich Schernikau, the interior of the cover with a presentation inscription in German and with signatures of the donors.
