Lot details

The lobed base applied with four ovals nielloed with scenes from the Passion and four smaller roundels nielloed with Instruments of the Passion, the surrounds repousse and chased with ribbon-tied laurel wreaths and swags of grapevine, the baluster stem chased with foliage, the lobed cup applied with four roundels nielloed with the Deesis and the Crucifixion, the surround chased with plain silver ribbon-tied acanthus leaves on a ground of latticework, the slightly flaring lip engraved with a Cyrillic inscription.
