The almost hemispherical bowl with a gilded border with an inscription referring to the Holy Communion in Cyrillic, one side of the bowl with three roundels engraved with the Deesis, the opposite side with a roundel engraved with Instruments of the Passion, the stem with a six-sided knop, the domed base with eight lobes engraved with foliage, the border of the base inscribed in Cyrillic, "Given to the Monastery of the Holy Trinity at Astrakhan in the reign of Alexei Michaelovitch in the year 7158 (1650).... in memory of... parents," 17 ozs. 10 dwts.
