RUSSIAN SILVER THREE-PIECE TEA SET WITH SIMILAR COFFEE POT
St. Petersburg, 1843/45
The tea set of melon shape, the bodies ribbed and repousse and chased with sprays of flowers on matted reserves, each engraved with an Imperial monogram, raised on four scroll feet with gilded interiors, by Carl Johann Tegelsten; the coffee pot with plain ribbed body and swan-neck spout, by Adolf Sper, 105 ozs. gross. Together with a similar silver-plated two-handled Tea Tray, of shaped rectangular form with a grapevine border.
