The first painted with two gtoups of conversing officers, the reverse inscribed in Cyrillic, "Third Guard and Grenadier Artillery Btigade, from the painting by Piratskiy, by R. Mironov;" the second with a group of five officers before a log house, the reverse inscribed in Cyrillic, "Twenty-Third Infantry Division, from the painting by Balashov, by P. Daladugin;" the third with two mounted officers each speaking to anothet on foot, the teverse inscribed in Cyrillic, "Hussars, Regiment of Grodno, from the painting by Piratskiy, by Vassili Midin;" the fourth plate painted with a mounted officer and three officers on foot at a bend in a countty road, the reverse inscribed in Cyrillic, "Imperial Guards Sappers Battalion, from the painting by Piratsky, by N. Ivanov," the borders of all plates gilded with tibbon-tied branches on lilac grounds, and with Black Russian Impetial Eagles within circular medallions.
