Composing a bulbous Carafe, a shaped circulai Tray raised on three bun feet, and six footed Cups, all enameled with flowers and foliage on grounds of sky blue, sea green, Chinese red, and pink, with cable borders, the carafe with slip-on stopper, maker's mark on the tray and base of carafe overstruck by the mark of Ovchinnikov.

This set was a presentation to the renowned Russian basso Fedor Chaliapin in Kiev, April 5, 1902 and is so inscribed in Cyrillic.
