The center of each plate painted with the Romamov eagle on bright green ground encircled by a black Cyrillic inscription 'Nicholas Tsar and Suzerain of all Russias' surrounded by vermilion rosettes on gilt ground alternating with leaf clusters, the gilt border with blue and green scrolling foliage and blue rim (three with hairline crack, gilt worn)
