lid decorated with an angel embracing a maiden in her bedchamber, the interior with cast warrant and date: 1889, one end fitted with a vesta compartment, width 10cm.; a birchwood cigarette case, the back pierced to hold a tinder cord, one end fitted with a vesta compartment, the gold raised thumbpiece set with a cabochon, the interior of the lid fitted with a silver plaque engraved with a royal crown and a crest, inscribed: 'From Charlotte to Charlie, Sept. 1902'; and a lady's silver cigarette case, the body with sunburst reeding, maker's mark possibly of A. Makkonen, St. Petersburg
