The first pair from the Czarevich Alexander Nicholaevich (Alexander II) service, the white centers gilded with the Imperial cypher 'A,' the blue borders gilded with scrolling foliage, period of Alexander III (1881-94), dated 91, green cypher marks; the borders of the second pair painted with Imperial eagles in black on a white ground, with gilt edging,period of Nicholas II (1894-1917), dated 1912,green cypher marks.
