The eight-pointed silver-gilt star enclosing a white and red enamelled cross, surrounded by an opaque blue enamelled band applied in silver with the motto Pro Fide, Rege Et; the gold badge designed as a black enamelled imperial double-headed eagle applied with an eight-pointed red and white enamelled cross and a white Polish eagle, suspended from a red Romanov crown enhanced with a blue scrolling ribbon in enamel, the reverse applied with a small white enamelled gold cross
