The interior embossed with the Imperial Eagle, the handle with an oval engraved with the bust of Peter the Great and chased with leafage below a crown, the sides inscribed in Cyrillic, 'March 1721. By the great Lord and Czar and Grand Duke Peter Alexandrovich of the Great and Small and White, presented this kovsh to the Attaman Artemi Vasilliev Attaman of the Army of the Don, Winter Camp. For h is Services and for his Wounds', within eight foliate baroque cartouches, the front of the kovsh with Imperial Eagle finial, 13 ozs.
