Painted with two figures in the foreground one standing and one seated, the richly gilded border decorated with four Imperial eagles interspaced by trophies of arms, signed in Cyrillic on the reverse, N. Yakovlev, and with identifying inscription, 'Sous-Officier et Soldat du Rt. de la Garde Pavlofsky,' also with inventory numbers; blue cypher manufactory mark.
