Painted with two officers, one mounted, one standing, the gilded border decorated with Imperial eagles and trophies of arms, the reverse inscribed, 'Sous-Officier et Soldat du Rt. de la Garde des-Lanciers de S.A.T. le grand-Duc Michel, ' signed by the artist P Shchetinin, and with blue cypher manufactory mark.
