With polychrome strapwork and foliage within geometric borders, inscribed in Russian 'Our grandfathers ate and drank simply and lived until a hundred', the hinged lid with cast dancing Muzhik finial, the underside of the base engraved 'To Harold Greene Arnold with the sincere desire that he will be as good a friend to someone as his father has been to me nigh unto threescore years and ten, George Augustus Church, April 12, 1909', 84 standard, partial maker's mark K_, stamped 'Made for Tiffany & Co.'
