The tapering bowl with oval reserves niello'd with views of the Moscow Kremlin and St Basil's Cathedral, flanked by strapwork and scrolls on blue ground within dotted red geometric borders, knopped stem, the spreading circular foot with alternating translucent red and opaque while lobes, the rim inscribed in Russian 'Drink daringly and life will be merrier' on a white ground, the lid with chevron and strapwork patterns, lantern finial, the interior of the lid engraved in Russian 'To dear dad from heart loving Nina and Georgij', 91 standard
