The cavetto painted with a private from the Libavskii State Infantry Battalion holding a rifle over his left shoulder, the gold ciselé border centred with an Imperial eagle surrounded by laurel leaves, the reverse titled in Cyrillic from a painting by V.V. Mazurovskii, signed D. Tyulyakhtin, also with green imperial cipher for Nicholas II and dated 1909, with red coldpainted inventory marks reading N4752 UA R40
