Oblong, of oval section, the body and inset cover decorated with foliate arabesques of niello on stippled ground, with hinged match compartment, striker and aperture for tinder cord, inscribed inside cover, with later inscription plaque to the outer cover, marked inside base and cover; a silver samorodok cigarette case with applied initials EE and signatures, gold-mounted thumbpiece, apparently unmarked; and a silver and niello cigarette case, the cover with hunters fighting a lion, the surround and body with niello, chased and engraved arabesques, the interior with Soviet plaques of Lenin and hammer and sicle, apparently unmarked
